Health Insurance Scheme offered by MTNL under which MTNL Contribute 50% of the policy premium and 50% of the policy premium is deducted from the Pensioner out of the OPD limits entitled. OPD limits are limited to the 50% of the Basic PAy + DA as on 1.1.2008. This has to be subscribed every year as the policy is taken from 1st Oct to 30th Sep of the next year. If any pensioner failed to fill the form within the due date he will loose the medical benefits for the entire period of the Insurance Coverage. Further the IPD limit for retirees are limited to Rs.1 Lakh, Rs.2 Lakhs (by ED) and Rs. 3 Lakhs (by CMD) with spouse floater 1.5L, 3L and 4.5 Lakhs cover per annum only. Only other dependent is covered under the scheme unlike CGHS. |

Before admission confirm that the hospital is covered under TPA Panel. On admission Show your medical ID card to the hospital and ask them to send documents to Medsave TPA for cashless facility. Procedure to Download CGHIS ID card either from 'www.medsave.in' Or download 'mediweel App' from Play Store:
Downloading from Mediweel App: Register with Staff number on which salary is drawn, email id, mobile number and select corporate policy and feed policy number 2228002819p109111096 which is common for all MTNL staffs.
Downloading from www.medsave.in: https://www.medsave.in/MedSaveEcards.aspx Open the link. In the policy type choose *Group* In the search category choose *policy number* After you choose policy three boxes appear In the *enter your polNo* enter or copy paste the policy number as *2228002819p109111096* which is same for everybody In the *enter your empcode* enter your staff number In the *enter your empname* enter your name Finally tap the *Search* button and your medical card would appear on the screen. Visit this page and download. Give name clearly, Individual or spouse, name for different cards You can preserve it in your mobile or you can take a print out of the same. This will serve the purpose in case of admission in hospitals if the need be. |
