Life certificate is to be submitted to the Pension Drawing Authority once is a year to prove that you are live. Previously it was done in the month of November - December every year. With the introduction of Online life certification through Jeevan Pramaan Portal now the practice of taking life certification is staggered throughout the year. Depending on Convenience and flexibility of system AO(PDA) has decided to take life certificate from the Pensionesrs during the month in which the pensioner retired. Life certification is to be given once in a period of 12 months. Once Pensioner exercised the option of choosing the retirement month or any other month he should make it a practice to resubmit the same within 12 months from the date on which he had submitted during previous year. It is not necessary that one should wait for the 12 months period to complete. In case he has to go out or has to move to remote place from where the system is not accessible he can submit the Life Certificate before moving out. Once he had submitted the life certificate online he has to keep copy of the life certificate for his record and inform AO(PDA) through his email This email address is being protected from spambots. Latest Circular on Life Certificate to be submitted by Pensioners issued by CCA, Mumbai. You can locate a centre where Life Certificate can be submitted digitally. You can enter either the PIN code of your area or by entering state, district or subdistrict.

From the details that would be displayed you can choose the one nearest to your place of residence but first confirm it on the mobile number provided there because some of the centres may have discontinued the service.

They do the service for some fee or charge that you can find out from the person on his or her mobile number displayed along with other details.

There are plenty of models available in the market. Depending on the cost, installation and after sales service offered you can select and go for a scanner. With mobile and scanner one can easily submit Life certificate through Jeevan Pramaan service.

It is Simple to submit Jeevan Pramaan (Life Certificate) 

1.How often the Jeevan Pramaan is to be given ?
Once in an year. Pensioner :- Generally in the month of retirement.
Direct Family Pensioner :- Month of death of the employee.
Converted Family Pensioner :- Month of retirement of pensioner.

However it may be given in any month by Pensioner/ Family pensioner at convenience but there should not be a gap of more than 12 months between two consecutive Certificates. 

Those who have given it any time from Aug'2019 to June'2020 are NOT due. All others should give.
AO PDA is likely to upload a list soon on p5. Where can I get the Form and who are all the Authorised Signatories?

The signature of Pensioner / Family Pensioner should be attested by Authorised signatory under his/her seal in the prescribed form.

6. How Digital Certificate is given ?

Through jeevan pramaan.gov.in. 
You can do it yourself if you have either a biometric finger print or Iris scanner.
OR 
The services are provided by many agencies...You can get the list of Jeevan Pramaan service providers in your locality in "jeevanpramaan.gov.in/locater"

Your PPO Number, Aadhar number and your mobile phone are required. 
PPO number is five digit written as PPO12345

It is important to give right information for generation of a valid certificate

Give your mobile number. After successful authentication by  Aadhar system, you will get  SMS ack. with id from Jeevan Pramaan site...Preserve this SMS..You can print the certificate from the site any time giving the Jeevan Pramaan id. 

In the valid certificate a Disclaimer is printed at the bottom. Whoever had given DLC, please see ...

the 'Disclaimer" at the bottom is worded as "......subject to acceptance by..... Department of Telecommunications, (CCA Mumbai)...... "

"This digital life certificate will be subject to acceptance by your pension processing centre Department of Telecommunications (CCA Mumbai)......"

Then it is Valid.

Not necessary. AO PDA can download the valid Certificates from Jeevan Pramaan site and will upload them in the Pension System.

10. How to know that the physical certificate or Digital Certificate is received, accepted and updated by AO PDA ?

Acknowledgement of Life Certificate by AO PDA

AO PDA will update all the certificates (both Physical certificates and Digital Certificates) after 20th of every month just before processing of pension drawal. 

AO PDA will send Confirmation SMS or upload a list on pensioner portal after updating the certificates in the system.

Digital Confirmation:-

If the same DLC is printed from Jeevan Pramaan site after updation by AO, a "Note" appears at the bottom of certificate instead of Disclaimer

The Note reads "Your Digital Life Certificate has been successfully accepted by Department of Telecommunications (CCA Mumbai) "

CCA Mumbai has agreed to issue confirmation SMS to the request of RTOWA.
